Our Sphynx cats and kittens are an integral part of our family and are enjoyed by 'their' people. They are not locked up in cages or locked in a room. We decided to specialise in breeding Sphynx so that we can devote the time and attention that Sphynx cats and kittens command. This environment contributes to the socialisation of your kitten.
It is our duty to only place our Sphynx cats into a 'Sphynx friendly' environment.
When you invest in a pet Sphynx cat or kitten from us, your sphynx cat or kitten will come with:
- Pedigree papers
- Registration Papers - showing you as the owner
- 6 weeks FREE pet insurance
- OzSphynx Birth Certificate (Human babies get one, why shouldn't yours)
- Full medical history including:
- Dates of vaccination
- Worming treatments
- Microchip
- Desexed
- Purchase Contract and Health Guarantee
- A compact disc with photos of their time with us
- Invitation to a Pet photography sitting, with the multi Award winning Photographer from Studio Noah
We also encourage you to contact us at any time if you need advice about your Sphynx cat after you receive your Sphynx cat. We are always available to answer your questions. We also love to hear how your Sphynx has grown with you and your family.
We encourage all future sphynx cat or kitten owners to thoroughly research and verify their breeder (this can be completed in many ways). For the welfare of your new kitten and your investment, we strongly recommend you should firstly ensure:
- Your Sphynx breeder is registered, therefore can provide you certified original documentation giving you contact numbers for verification
- Registration papers and your Sphynx kitten's pedigree (their family history). Without a certified Pedigree you cant be sure what you are really purchasing. We have heard some concerning stories.
- You are welcome to visit the home where your kitten is born, and spend time talking Sphynx.
We are registered with the Waratah National Cat Alliance in Australia. We strictly abide by the WNCA's Code of Ethics for breeders (please click for a link to the code).
PLEASE NOTE: 'Breeders' offering "Cattery Pedigree" kittens are not certified.
- A "cattery pedigree" is NOT a certified pedigree from a registering organisation. If the 'breeder' is not registered with such an organisation they are unable to provide certified pedigrees and registration papers.
- If the 'breeder' is registered DEMAND a copy of the pedigree papers. In addition also note that you should be very cautious about 'breeders' that offer a lower price without certified pedigree and registration papers.
- All Ozsphynx kittens come with a certified pedigree and registration papers as part of your investment. As also stated above you are always welcome to meet the parents and view their pedigree papers if you wish to visit, kittens that are purchased are also able to be picked up from our cattery directly. (we have heard stories of 'breeders' meeting people in carparks to drop off kittens, this will never happen with a reputable cattery owner).
- You may think you are saving money buying an unregistered kitten, but registration is a vital document as it registers you as the kitten's owner and provides you with the peace of mind your not just buying a "Cat". We also offer you a signed Purchase Agreement outlining your obligations as a Sphynx owner and our guarantees as the Sphynx breeder.
